noncontact measurements
The Model 523 handheld electrostatic voltmeter provides noncontacting
measurements of electrostatic surface voltage over a range of ±20
kV in either ionized or non-ionized environments.
Using a new technique, measurements are independent of the distance
between the probe and the surface to be measured. A greater-than-5% voltage
measurement accuracy is achieved over a spacing range of 30 to 60 mm.
