eSATA port selectors lower BOM cost

The XRS10L210 2:1 eSATA port selector and XRS10L220 1:2 eSATA port selector/multiplier target high-availability, fault-tolerant, data-storage/data-management subsystems. The devices take less than 700 mW and support programmable output-swing controls as well as both transmit pre-emphasis and receive equalization.

The XRS10L220 provides a SATA II port selector and port multiplier operating at 3.0 and 1.5 Gbits/s and addresses two SATA devices with a fail-over path from two hosts. The XRS10L210 supports side-band and register-based switching plus in-band command-based switching and is compliant to SATA II: Port Selector, Revision 1.0. ($5 to $7 ea/1,000 — available now.)
