The VBUS052BD-HTF double-diode ESD-protection array protects dual high-speed USB ports — or up to two other high-frequency signal lines — against transient voltage signals in a wide range of portable and handheld applications. Packaged in a leadless LLP75 with a 1.6-mm2 footprint and 0.6-mm profile, the protection device features a 1.5-pF capacitance per diode, a maximum leakage current of less than 0.1-µA at 5 V, a breakthrough voltage of 7.9 V at 1 mA, and a maximum clamping voltage of 16 V at 3 A.

The bus port-protection array protects one data line as per IEC 61000 4 2 at ±15 kV (contact and air discharge) and offers a surge current greater than 3 A in accordance with IEC 61000 4 5. ($0.12 ea/100,000 — stock to 10 weeks ARO.)
