ESD protection device fits portable electronics
Offered in an SOD923 package, the VCUT0714A-02Z bidirectional asymmetrical (BiAs) single-line ESD protection diode measures 0.6 x 1.0 x 0.4 mm to provide ESD protection in portable electronic devices. Typical capacitance is less than 8 pF at 0 V, and maximum leakage current is less than 0.1 µA.
The protection device offers working ranges from –7 to 14 V, or –14 to 7 V. The part provides transient protection for one data line at 30 kV (air and contact discharge) and from 4.5 A, tp = 8/20 μs (lightning). ($5.50 ea/100—10 to 12 weeks ARO.)
