Eval kit is used to harness ambient energy

The EnerChip EP CBC-EVAL-09 universal energy-harvesting evaluation kit is the first kit to support all types of ambient-energy harvesting from light and vibration, to thermal gradients and flow/motion. The kit features the EnerChip energy processor (EP) CBC915-ACA, a universal energy-harvesting power management unit for ultra-low-power energy systems. The EnerChip EP is the first device to work universally across all energy harvesting transducer technologies including photovoltaic, thermoelectric, piezoelectric, and electromagnetic.

The EVAL-09 uses EnerChip solid-state batteries to store harvested energy, which can be recharged thousands of times and contain no flammable solvents or dangerous chemicals. Applications include ambient-energy-harvesting-based wireless sensor nodes using solar, piezoelectric, thermoelectric, and electromagnetic transducers.
