The G Series external hard-disk drives were designed under an eco-friendly concept and include the 2.5-in. 250/320/500/640-Gbyte G2 Portable and the 3.5-in. G3 Station with 1/1.5/2-Tbyte capacities. The drives feature low noise levels, low power consumption, and meets the ROHS regulations.
The devices use a 480-Mbit/s USB 2.0 interface. Smart power management enables the drives to be turned on and off by the host computer. The G3 Station takes just 0.09 W and automatically enters standby mode after 5 min of inactivity. ($199 available now.)
