Fast flash thumb drives use USB 3.0

Featuring maximum data transfer rates of 220 Mbytes/s reading and 94 Mbytes/s writing, the TransMemory-EX series of flash drives have a Super Speed USB 3.0 interface. The devices use DDR NAND and achieve this performance with power consumption of 300 mA or less.

The drives can transfer a 25-Gbyte video in approximately 5 min. Application software for the device allows protection of a particular block with a password lock. Operating temperature is 0° to 50°C, and the devices are compatible with Windows 7 or XP and Mac OS 10 or later. (32 Gbyte, $102; 64 Gbyte, $192 available now.)
