Fast in-circuit debugger targets PIC MCU/DSCs

The MPLAB ICD 3 development tool supports in-circuit programming and debugging of Microchip’s flash-based 8-, 16-, and 32-bit PIC microcontrollers and 16-bit dsPIC digital signal controllers (DSCs). Flash MCU programming times are 15 times faster than the current generation.

The package provides up to 1,000 software breakpoints, 2 to 5.5-V operation, a ruggedized target interface for increased protection from overvoltage/overcurrent, internal memory for program storage, and 100 mA of target power support. USB 2.0 (480 MHz) is supported and a diagnostic Test Interface Module is included. ($220 — available now.)
