Fasteners install with SMT devices on PCBs

ReelFast microPEM (type SMTSO) fasteners for compact electronic assemblies install permanently on PCBs in the same way and time as other SMT components prior to the automated reflow solder process. Featuring a large solder area, the fasteners upon installation become another board component that can serve equally well as nuts or standoffs to space or stack PCBs, mount boards, or attach components.

Offered in thread sizes as small as M1/#0-80 and lengths as short as 1 mm/0.62 in., they can be installed on boards as thin as 0.5 mm/0.020 in. Packaged on 13-in. recyclable reels measuring 16 mm wide, the reels conform to EIA-481 standards and are compatible with SMT automated installation equipment.
