Claimed by the company to be 60% faster than the nearest competitor, the 24-bit ADS1675 delta-sigma A/D converter delivers speeds of up to 4 Msamples/s and provides a selectable dual-path digital filter. Its latency filter path provides 24-bit settling as fast as 2.65 μs claimed also to be three times faster than the nearest competitor.

Additional features include a dynamic range of 103 dB (4 Msamples/s) and 111 dB (125 ksamples/s) as well as a total harmonic distortion of 107 dB. The part also offers 3-ppm integral nonlinearity, 4-µV/C offset drift, and 4-ppm/C gain drift. Available in a TQFP-64 package, the ADC consumes 575 mW and provides a simple read-only serial interface with either standard CMOS or serialized LVDS. (From $17.95 ea/1,000 available now.)
