The Fibreco MT38999 connectors use the industry-standard MT fiber-optic contact in the D38999 circular connector housing in a size 11 shell. D38999 is the most widely used interconnect in the aerospace market, making it a cost-effective solution for new designs.

The IP67-rated connectors, with low insertion loss, are available with 12 or 24 optical channels and offer single-mode and multi-mode fiber options. They are available in aluminum, aluminum bronze or stainless-steel shell options. They are rated for 500 matings per TIA-455-21A (for mating durability). Click here for the data sheet.

The plug and receptacle connectors are available with standard straight backshell arrangements with the addition of a low-profile version for “behind-the-wall” applications. The receptacle connectors are available with jam-nut or square-flange mounting and strain relief for zip-cords or tactical cable. These interconnects can be used in combination with Cinch’s Fiber Flex components.

Available now, the MT38999 connectors are available through Cinch’s authorized distributors Digi-Key, Farnell and Mouser. Modified and custom designs are available.
