Fiber-optic switch handles 16 channels

The QuickSwitch Model 6259 16-Channel Fiber Optic ST Simplex A/B/Off-Line Switch connects the common port of each channel to the A or B port. The 19 x 3.5 x 12-in. unit will go off-line on power loss, and stop passing data. The switch is controlled locally using the front-panel pushbuttons only; no remote function is provided.

All 16 channels are switched simultaneously and ports are transparent to all data. The ports are ST, multimode, 62.5/125 µm and support a wavelength of 850 nm. ($8,375 — available now.)
