Fiber-optic XMC/PMC module has Virtex FPGA

The XMC-FPGA05F FPGA-based XMC/PMC module has four fiber-optic transceivers and a Virtex-5 FPGA. It is available in air- or conduction-cooled versions and has four 128-Mbyte banks of DDR2 SDRAM and DMA controllers.

The board supports PCI-X/PCI and x8 PCI Express 1.1 host interfaces. It has flash to store multiple FPGA images and a flash bypass mode for secure applications where configurations cannot be stored in volatile memory. Four front-panel fiber-optic transceivers driven directly by the FPGA can be supplied in frequencies of 1.0625 to over 3 Gbits/s, with single- and multi-mode option.
