design flexibility
Version 3.3 of Super Filter Professional, a Windows-based filter design
program, permits cascading of single- or multiple-order filters in one-of-a-kind
or mixed stages. Filter stages may be mixed by type, by function, and by
technology (such as passive, active, or digital).
The tool quickly synthesizes and analyzes the entire filter in a design
procedure that includes automatic component selection and optimization
capabilities such as group-delay time equalization and DSP coefficient
selection. In additional to the Professional edition, the company offers
Super Filter Standard, a version of the software with a reduced set of
features. (Super Filter Professional, $1,995; Super Filter Standard, $795–available
now.)
