Flash-based SOC FPGA targets critical apps

SmartFusion2 SoC FPGAs have a 166 MHz Cortex-M3 CPU and 4,956 to 120,348 logic modules. They target challenging safety-critical applications with secure, tamper-proof, and radiation-impervious operation. The chips have sixteen 5 Gbit/s SERDES, PCIe, XAUI, CAN, USB, and hard 800 Mbit/s DDR2/3 interfaces.

Flash-based SOC FPGA targets critical apps

The flash-based devices have secure key storage capability and are the only SoC FPGAs protected from differential power analysis attacks. Users may also leverage accelerators for AES-256, SHA-256, a 384-bit elliptical curve cryptographic (ECC) engine, and a non-deterministic random bit generator. The ICs include up to 4.5 Mbits of RAM and 240 DSP math blocks and need only 10 mW of static power for 50 K LUT device. Price not given — samples available now, production 1st qtr.)
