Flash controllers have NVMe/PCIe interface

The 89HF32P08AG3/89HF16P04AG3 NAND flash controllers have 32 or 16 independent 8-bit flash channels and a PCIe Gen3 x8 or x4 NVMe (PCIe optimized for SSDs) host interface. PCIe Gen3 handles 8 Gbits/s/lane. The controllers target enterprise SSDs and perform all flash management operations.

The programmable ICs ensure reliability of memory through a combination of exceptionally strong ECC and flash channel RAID and offer up to 4-Tbyte capacity using 64 Gbit flash chips. The ICs also have XTS-AES-256 encryption. They come in a 40 x 40-mm or 27 x 27-mm FCBGA package. (Price not given — samples available now.)
