Flush-mount receptacle permits mating from either PCB side

The 0531-0-15-15-31-27-10-0 receptacle is a zero profile, solderless press-fit receptacle that provides dual-entry capability when flush mounted on a printed-circuit-board (PCB) assembly about 2-mm thick. To provide flexibility in component placement and assembly of boards and modules, the open-ends design allows for mating pin entry from either top or bottom. 

For bottom insertion, the minimum mating pin length is 1.14 mm; for top insertion, 1.37 mm. The 1.73-mm-long receptacle’s hexagon-shaped head allows it to be press-fit securely into a PCB. When pressed into a 1.14-mm-diameter, plated through-hole, the receptacle sits flush with the PCB surface to achieve the lowest possible component height above board.
