Four lane re-driver aids 10 Gbit/s signal quality

The PI2EQX8814A 4-lane 10 Gbit/s re-driver IC provides programmable equalization, pre-emphasis, and output voltage swing control via configuration pins to cost effectively extend 10G Ethernet or OC-192 PCB traces in server, storage, networking, and embedded platforms. The chip provides advanced features such as bi-directional loop back functionality for easy debug, selectable signal detector threshold, and I2C/SMBus programmability.

The LBGA100 packaged device has eight differential channels and selectable input termination between 50Ω to VDD and Hi-Z. It uses a single 1.5 V supply and both interleave (paired) and flow-through pinout versions are available. ($6.81 ea/10,000 – available now.)
