FRAM features 4 Mbits, low power

The FM22L16 FRAM is a 4-Mbit parallel nonvolatile RAM in a 44-pin TSOP package that features fast access, virtually unlimited read/write cycles, and low power. Pin compatible with standard SRAM, it has a high-speed page mode that enables 4-byte burst read/write operations at up to 40 MHz.

The 256-K x 16-format chip needs only 18 mA for reads/writes and features a 5-µA sleep mode. It operates from 2.7 to 3.6 V over 40 to 85C. (From $19 ea/10,000samples available 3rd qtr; prod qty, 4th qtr.)
