Primarily, we focus on the Internet of Things (IoT) as opposed to the Internet of People (IoP) which is all about people-centric devices with advanced human interfaces. In IoT, internet-enabled microcontrollers sense, learn, adapt, communicate and co-operate without human intervention at the time. The core of IoT is the dream of widely-deployed sensing nodes with IP addresses not any network that happens to have internet backhaul or, worse, any network. These have almost nothing in common.
This webinar will cover the following research from our report “Internet of Things (IoT): Business Opportunities 2015-2025“:
• Definitions, contrast to Internet of People, allied technologies.
• Why now?
• Relationship to wearable technology and other new trends.
• Cost structure, targets, key enabling technologies.
• Where the money will be made – value chain, country.
• Opportunities, impediments, market forecast.
We will be hosting the same webinar twice in one day, so please join which ever session is most convenient for you.
