Front-end ac/dc supply offers 1,300-W model

A 1,300-W model front-end ac/dc power supply was added to the D1U3CS series. It delivers the power from a 108 to 264 Vac input, is hot pluggable, has no minimum load requirement, and incorporates ORing FETs on its main 12-V output, for fault-tolerant and N+1 redundant applications.

With a power density of 23 W/in.3, the power supply can achieve a typical conversion efficiency of 92% at half full load. It has a primary 12-Vdc output and an optional auxiliary output of either 3.3 Vdc, or 5.0 Vdc for powering standby circuitry. An active PFC minimizes input harmonic current distortion and ensures compliance with the IEC61000-3-2 standard, with a power factor of 0.99 typical. With active single-wire current sharing, multiple supplies can be paralleled for high current applications. The supplies incorporate fan cooling with automatic speed control and have an ambient operating temperature range from 0° to +50°C. Typical applications for the D1U3CS series include systems using distributed power architectures, such as computing, storage, networking, data center, and test and measurement systems.
