Front-end supplies use digital programming

The DS1200-3 and DS2000-3 bulk front-end power supplies, rated at 1,200 and 2,000 W respectively, generate a main output of 12 Vdc and an auxiliary output of 3.3 Vdc with an optional auxiliary output of 5 Vdc. Both power supplies are digitally programmable via an I2 C interface and use the industry-standard PMBus communications protocol.

The supplies are intended for use in rack-mount server applications, such as data centers. They have 1.6-in. form factors, and are suitable for use in 1U-high rack-mount equipment. The supplies have a 90 to 264-Vac input voltage range and employ active power factor correction with a 0.99 typ. power factor. They also feature 55-A maximum active ac in-rush control.
