The 4050 Series consists of four dual-channel function/arbitrary-waveform generators with maximum output frequencies of 5, 10, 25, or 50 MHz. The inexpensive units – prices range from just $499 to $1,050 – are suited for applications requiring stable and precise sine, square, triangle, and pulse waveforms, with modulation and arbitrary waveform capabilities.
Equipped with a 14-bit, 125 Msample/s, 16-kpoint arbitrary waveform generator, the instruments provide 48 built-in arbitrary waveforms and the ability to create and load up to 10 custom 16- kpt waveforms, using included waveform editing software and the standard USB interface on the rear. An optional USB-to-GPIB adapter is available for GPIB connectivity. Modulation schemes supported include AM, FM, DSB-AM, ASK, FSK, PM, and PWM. Available immediately, all instruments are backed by a three-year warranty.
