The HelioFuse is a molded in-line fuse that helps protect photovoltaic (PV) systems from ground fault current damage. The fuse is used by PV system engineers, solar contractors, and design engineers.
The in-line fuse addresses ground fault protection in PV systems without the need for a combiner box that houses the solar panel’s fuse links. Its molded construction provides weathertight housing that prevents moisture from getting into the fuse and further protects it from harsh weather. It is UL-approved and is easily removed or replaced and is intermateable with industry-standard PV connectors. The fuse is IP-68-rated and is available in industry-standard solar connector versions or a wire-molded type for custom harnesses. The fuse operates at a maximum of 1,000 Vdc with a 20–A rating and a 10,000–A current withstand rating. (Contact company for price and availability.)
