Future Electronics and Vicor sign global distribution agreement

Montreal, Canada, August 1st, 2011 – Future Electronics, a world class leader and innovator in the distribution and marketing of electronic components is pleased to announce that they have signed a global distribution agreement with Vicor Corporation. This agreement allows Future Electronics to leverage their experience and resources to launch Vicor’s product portfolio to a global market and a diverse customer base. In choosing Future Electronics as their only global distribution partner, Vicor noted the strength of Future Electronics’ demand creation programs and the ability to track business offshore, enabling greater control of design and production processes.

Under the terms of the agreement, Future Electronics will now begin a phased rollout of Vicor products starting with their Intermediate Bus Converters worldwide (except Japan), along with V•I Chips and Picor for the Americas. EMEA and Asia availability will follow October 1st with Custom Bricks forthcoming in Q4.
