Gate drivers offer fastest propagation delays

The UCC275xx-Q1 family of AEC-Q100-qualified gate drivers, feature the industry’s fastest propagation delays of less than 15 ns. The family consists of single- and dual-channel gate drivers that provide the highest power efficiency, reliability, and flexibility compared to existing automotive solutions. The devices target powertrain, bi-directional converters (12- to 48-V and 12- to 400-V input), onboard charging, traction inverters, advanced driver assistance systems, safety, headlamps and instrumentation clusters.

The automotive output-stage drivers can replace discrete totem pole solutions. This cuts down board space, reduces system cost and enables the gate drivers to be placed closer to the switch, which cuts down parasitic inductances and improves efficiency. The devices feature a operating temperature range from -40° to 140°C and have negative input voltage of -5 V to help handle ground bouncing experienced in harsh environments.
