Designed for full NEBS compliance, the second-generation 13U AdvancedTCA system platform suits carrier-grade applications. The unit provides airflow of 20% to 30% min. in each of the ATCA blade’s four regions to ensure even airflow and help prevent hot spots in 200 to 250-W/slot configurations.
The chassis is cooled by three FRU fan trayseach containing two PWM-controlled 250 to 420-cfm fans—with a honeycomb intake-air filter below and an NEBS-compliant air filter above. The RoHS-compliant 14-slot Dual Star backplane (Mesh optional) chassis also has rear I2 C-enabled dual 50-A power-entry modules for each segment and optional PEMs with an integral circuit breaker.
