GLF launches automotive load switches

GLF Integrated Power has released its first AEC-Q100 load switches with low leakage current for automotive- and commercial-grade systems.

GLF Integrated Power has launched its first AEC-Q100 qualified parts, the GLF1111Q and GLF1200Q load switches, rated for a wide temperature range from -40°C to 125°C (Grade 1). Applications for the new automotive-grade IQSmart devices include infotainment and cluster display systems, diagnostic systems, passive entry/start systems (PEPS), customer premise equipment (CPE), face recognition systems, intelligent cockpit, and autonomous driving applications.

The GLF1111Q provides “exceptionally” low leakage current of 2 nA, typical, for battery savings, while the GLF1200Q features a “unique” true reverse-current blocking, which prevents a backup power source from being discharged when an input node is shorted, said GLF, benefiting a range of dashboard functions. In addition, the GLF1200Q works all of the time regardless of on or off state, added the company.

Other key features include a wide-input voltage range of 1.5 V to 5.5 V, enabling a variety of voltage rail applications, an integrated slew-rate control that limits inrush on turn on, therefore minimizing the effects of voltage droop, said GLF. Both devices also offer an optional output discharge switch.

The GLF1111Q and GLF1200Q load switches, packaged in a SOT-23-5L, offer easy visual inspection of solder joints. They are lead-free and halogen-free and comply to the RoHS directive.

Pricing for the GLF1111Q and GLF1200Q is $0.24 in OEM quantities. Lead times is eight weeks ARO.
