The FW 3.01 update for the NEO-M8N GNSS position sensing module supports Galileo, in addition to GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, QZSS and SBAS, and can track up to three constellations concurrently. It makes use of all SBAS and QZSS augmentation systems at the same time.
The FW 3.01 release provides a 10% power reduction for the module, boosts the BeiDou acquisition sensitivity, and adds support to the Indian GAGAN augmentation system. The M8N is also compliant with ERA-GLONASS, eCall’s Russian equivalent. The module has an automotive grade version that operates over -40 to +105°C and is AEC-Q100 Grade 2 qualified. Security features include detection of fake GNSS signals, message integrity protection, and detection and suppression of jamming.
