Goodbye and Hello

year transition

The transition from one year to the next is always a time of reflection. It’s a time when people consider the significance of what has happened in the past year and what they hope to accomplish in the coming one. So it seems fitting in this, the first issue of the New Year, that we do the same.

Just as technologies advanced in 2015, so too did our approach to covering these technologies. No longer do we speak solely of the technical specs of new components, but we’ve begun to focus more on the impact each advance can have on its target industries and applications. We did this so we could serve our readers not only with the technical details they seek, but to also provide them with a deeper, broader understanding of just how significant an effect the component could have, taking into account the fact that technology will continue to advance rapidly and that there are surprises ahead.

As we enter 2016, we are looking forward to a year of growth. We expect to see greater synergy within our group, and a broadening of our editorial content. We expect to see even more improvement in both our print and online content, improvements designed to bring you more useful and varied information on a regular basis. We’ll also be reaching out to you in new ways and looking to listen harder to what you’d like us to do for you.

The one thing we don’t intend to change is our pursuit of quality. We want to continue to bring you the most accurate, insightful information we can, information that is highly relevant to your work as a technology professional.

And so, in the somewhat rueful process of saying goodbye to the past year, and to some whom we have left behind, we are filled with hope and anticipation of what the New Year will bring.
