GPS modules offer performance enhancements

The R4 and F4  (RXM-GPS-x4) series GPS modules offer enhancements over older versions, with improved accuracy to 2.5 meters, 2X faster cold start times using CGEE 3 day satellite prediction, built-in jammer remover, and better reliability by tracking up to 48 satellites simultaneously. The small 15 x 13 mm modules use the SiRF Star IV – GSD4e-9411 chipset and feature  -160dBm receiver sensitivity.

 The F4 Series GPS module features extra low-power with an operating voltage of 1.8 V and low power modes such as Trickle-Power and Push-to-Fix, the F4 module will hibernate at as low as 20 ua and also offers GPIO capability. The R4 Series operates from 3.0 to 3.6 V with a typical 0.43 ma hibernate mode. Maximum current draw is 33 ma. An eval module is available.
