The GHBW53V08 series of isolated dc/dc converters enables IEEE Standard 802.3af-compliant Power over LAN and VoIP applications. The converters deliver up to 424 W output, or up to 8 A / 53 V output. It operates at 94% efficiency from 38 to 55 Vdc.
The series has a basic isolation level from input to output of 2,250 Vdc to comply with the requirements of IEEE 802.3af. A programmable microcontroller provides the control and protection features including remote on/off, input undervoltage lockout, input and output OVP, overtemperature protection, and current-limiting and short-circuit protection.
