Hall-effect sensor offers a PWM output

The A1354 programmable two-wire Hall-effect linear sensor features a PWM output. The duty cycle of the PWM output signal is proportional to an applied magnetic field. The A1354 converts an analog signal from its internal Hall sensor element to a digitally encoded PWM output signal.

The BiCMOS monolithic circuit inside of the part integrates a Hall element, precision temperature-compensating circuitry, a small-signal high-gain amplifier, dynamic offset cancellation circuits, and PWM conversion circuitry. Housed in a 4-pin SIP, the device operates from –40° to 125°C. ($1.43 ea/1,000 — 12 to 14 week ARO.)
