Handheld IC testers ease linear/digital test
Suited for out-of-circuit testing of linear or digital ICs, the battery-powered 570A analog and 575A digital handheld IC testers have a 2-line x 16-character LCD to show pass/fail test result, individual pin diagnostics, test mode, and possible equivalents. Both units contain built-in test libraries and the optional AK57X functional IC test generation software offers advanced functionality.
The built-in linear test library includes op amps, comparators, voltage regulators and references, switches, multiplexers, optoisolators, optocouplers, and audio ICs. The digital library covers TTL, CMOS, LSI, memory, interfaces, and other devices with up to 40 pins. (Analog tester, $1,399; digital tester, $1,099; software, $625—available now.)
