Handheld meter sorts, grades capacitors

Suited for sorting and grading capacitors on the bench or in the field, the handheld 890B battery-powered capacitance meter provides dedicated ICs that let users use preprogrammed capacitor tolerances or program their own high/low limits. An optional USB cable and PC software enable independent data logging and/or remote monitoring.

Designed to international safety standards, the autoranging 11,000-count meter has nine ranges from 1.0 pF to 50 mF full scale. It can simultaneously display measured value and deviation from tolerance on its 4.5-digit LCD, and its preset tolerances are 1%, 5%, and 10%. ($134—available now.)
