Suited for a variety of indoor, outdoor, and automotive applications, the LM3424 LED driver with temperature management control drives up to 18 HB LEDs in series with output current above 2 A. When an overtemperature condition occurs, the part’s thermal foldback circuitry reduces the regulated current through the LEDs. The internal PWM controller is designed for high-speed capability, including an oscillator frequency range that can be synchronized up to 2.0 MHz.
Offered in a 20-pin TSSOP package, the part also features a wide input range of 4.5 to 75 V, a PWM and analog dimming, programmable soft-start, and protection features such as low-power and thermal shutdown, as well as cycle-by-cycle current limit.
