HBrian McNally of Arrow Electronics Receives Industry Association Top Honor

Atlanta, GA –The Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA) bestowed its highest honor, the Gail S. Carter Award, on Brian McNally of Arrow Electronics. The award acknowledges an electronics industry leader for their significant contributions to the industry and their active role in the

association and civic affairs. The presentation was held during the 2012 Executive Conference at the InterContinental O’Hare Chicago Hotel.

ECIA Chairman-elect Michael Knight of TTI, Inc. acknowledged Mr. McNally’s significant contributions to the association. McNally began his service on the NEDA Board of Directors in 2005 and became president in 2010. He was actively involved in uniting NEDA and ECA to form ECIA and provided a wealth of guidance during the transition. He served on the Executive Committee and was its Past Chairman.

“Brian is a true leader and great friend of the association,” said Knight. “He demonstrated a huge commitment to ECIA through his involvement while serving his assignment for Arrow in Europe. His European perspective added high value in helping form policy and activities with a global landscape in mind. It has been a privilege to work with him.”

Due to super storm Sally, McNally was unable to accept the honor in person. He is currently President of Arrow Global Components Specialty Businesses. Appointed to this position in February 2012, he has overall responsibility for a newly formed business group that is comprised of A.E. Petsche Company, Inc., Richardson RFPD, Inc., Nu Horizons Electronics, Corp., and NIC Components, Corp. He also serves as a Corporate Officer.
