HDMI receivers enhance A/V performance

Measuring 10 x 10 x 1.6 mm and 14 x 14 x 1.6 mm, respectively, the ADV7611 low-power 165-MHz receiver and the ADV7612 225-MHz dual-port receiver with Xpressview fast-switching technology enable HD designers to deliver high-end A/V (audio/video) feature sets in entertainment applications where small size and 3D support are in demand. The ADV7611 enables portable designers to achieve 1080p/60f display resolution with 24-bit color.

For high-performance A/V systems, the ADV7612 offers 1080p/60f display resolution with up to 36-bit Deep Color and incorporates ADI’s proprietary Xpressview fast switching technology, which enables seamless, automatic switching between HDMI-enabled devices in less than 1 s. Each receiver features an on-chip CEC (consumer electronics component) controller, support for HDCP (high-bandwidth digital content protection) 1.4, and complete audio support of S/PDIF (Sony/Philips digital interface format) for compressed audio, including Dolby Digital and DTS; and two-channel I2S audio for transmitting stereo at sample rates up to 192 kHz.
