Suited for 13.56-MHz reader applications, the AS3910 HF RFID reader IC delivers 1 W of output power from a 3.3-V supply. Features include antenna autotuning, ISO 14443 A & B data framing, and automatic modulation depth adjustment.
The device contains two differential low-impedance (1.5-Ω) antenna drivers. The IC has an operating voltage down to 2.4 V and an operating mode of 5 mA. Available in QFN 32 packages, the part enables read ranges of up to 30 cm with no need for any external booster circuitry. ($3.30 ea/1,000 — available now.)
