High accuracy temp monitor has adjustable alerts

Suited for 2.25 to 5.5 V systems, the LTC2996 high accuracy temperature sensor measures a remote diode’s temperature with ±1°C accuracy and its own die temperature with ±2°C accuracy while rejecting errors due to noise and series resistance.

The device provides a voltage-proportional-to-absolute-temperature (VPTAT) output, as well as individual undertemperature and overtemperature alert outputs, defined by user-adjustable thresholds. No code is required to configure the device.

Features include a quiescent current of 200 µA, a reference voltage output of 1.8 V, and built-in series resistance. Housing is in 10-pin 3 x 3-mm DFN packaging. (From $1.95 ea/1,000 — available now)
