High-data-rate imager suits holography, MV

Aimed at holographic-data-storage and machine-vision applications, the 3.0-Mpixel LUPA-3000 image sensor has a 13.2-Gbit/s data throughput, said to be the highest available. It offers a triggered and pipelined synchronous shutter with a 485-fps frame rate and windowing capability.

The imager’s 32 8-bit on-chip digital LVDS outputs simplify camera design, and its fully synchronous snapshot shutter not only allows reading one image while the next is being acquired, but also ensures distortion-free capture of moving objects.
