High-frequency oscillator offers lowest power

Suited for high-performance networking, video, computing, and storage applications, the SiT8004 MEMS-based programmable oscillator features 6.7 mA of typical current consumption at 125 MHz, which is claimed by the company to lower power consumption by up to 66% over that of a standard crystal oscillator. The part supports frequencies between 125 and 150 MHz and is also available in popular preconfigured options such as 125 MHz and 125.00375 MHz for GPON, EPON, and Gigabit Ethernet; 133 MHz and 133.33333 MHz for memory (DDR) and PCI; 148.5 MHz and 148.35164 MHz for HDMI and pixel clocks; and 150 MHz for SATA/SAS.

High-frequency oscillator offers lowest power

It offers a frequency stability of ±20 to ±50 ppm, a low standby power of 1.2 µA, and LVCMOS/LVTTL-compatible output. The device exhibits shock resistance of up to 50,000 G and vibration resistance of up to 70 G. It is a drop-in-replacement of quartz solutions in all four industry-standard surface-mount packages (7.0 x 5.0 mm, 5.0×3.2 mm, 3.2×2.5 mm and 2.5×2.0 mm). Supply voltage is 1.8, 2.5, 2.8, and 3.3 V. (125MHz,25-ppm unit, $0.98 ea/10,000 — available now.)
