High-performance compute system, card use 240-core graphics processor
Quad- and single-processor units yield up to 4 TFLOPS and use 160 to 700 W
Targeting oil/gas exploration, medical imaging, EDA, and other high-performance parallel computing tasks, the Tesla S1070 1U computing system and the Tesla C1060 processor card use the 240-core T10 graphics processor to double the performance of the previous generations up to 4 TFLOPS per 1U system. The units also yield a 3x power efficiency improvement and add IEEE 754 double-precision arithmetic support.
The 1U system takes approximately 700 W and has four processors, dual PCIe Gen2 x16 buses, and as much as 16 Gbytes of GDDR3 memory. The card takes 160 W typ and has a 1.33-GHz single processor, PCIe Gen2 x16, and up to 4 Gbytes of GDDR3 memory. Both the system and the card can use the CUDA C-language development software package.
