High-performance hardware, advanced software come in modular PXI, AXIe form factors

Enabling new capabilities not previously available in analog, digital, RF, microwave, and lightwave test, 46 new PXI and AXIe products offer advanced measurement software and high-performance hardware in a modular form factor. Users can easily integrate modules in PXI and AXIe (the AdvancedTCA-with-extensions-for-instrumentation-and-test standard introduced in 2009) formats with benchtop instruments to form fully integrated test systems.

The modular products includes digitizers, arbitrary waveform generators, digitizing scopes, DMMs, and a range of switches. Included IVI-C, IVI-COM and LabVIEW(G) software drivers and enhanced input/output (I/O) libraries to simplify the integration process are optimized for testing applications that require high performance, high speed, and high throughput.

Among the modules is the M9392A, the first single-vendor PXI microwave vector signal analyzer (VSA), which employs the popular Agilent 89600 VSA software. The combination enables detailed analysis of communications, radar, and avionics signals up to 26.5 GHz, with instantaneous bandwidth of 250 MHz, useful for next-generation wireless development.

The M9018A PXIe chassis provides with 16 slots, all of which are hybrid slots, ensuring not only high performance but also easy configuration of PXI- and PXIe-module systems. It particularly suits data-intensive communications, imaging, and radar applications that need wide bandwidth from module to module or between the modules and the system controller.

The U4301A PCIe Gen 3 analyzer — the first measurement module able to work in an AXIe chassis — enables accurate multi-gigabit signal capture and protocol testing. An open-system module, it lets users analyze wide serial buses and perform digital/analog testing in digital applications.

Two AXIe 1.0 chassis — a 2U two-slot and 4U five-slot — deliver robust power, cooling, and timing systems as a platform for multivendor systems. AXIe’s large board size supports high-performance instrumentation in minimum rack space. To see a complete list of modules and specifications, see www.agilent.com/find/modular.
