High-performance MPU has advanced 3D graphics

The RZ/G1M microprocessor enables rapid development of high-performance Linux and Android applications. It features two 1.5 GHz Cortex A15 cores, a dual channel memory controller for DDR3L, a VSP1 video processing unit, a SGX544MP2 2D and 3D graphics engine, and a sound processing unit. The MPU is said to provide 10,500 DMIPS performance.

The processor also has an SD card host interface, USB-3.0 and -2.0 interfaces, plus PCI Express, SATA, CAN, and Ethernet AVB interfaces. It uses an AXI3 internal bus and a Corelink CCI-400 Cache Coherent Interconnect and has a display unit for up to 4095 × 2047 screen size. Samples available now, production July 2016.
