High power PFC capacitors offer much longer life

The B25674 series of power factor correction (PFC) capacitors offer extended service life of up to 180,000 hours and 20 % higher energy density than standard devices. The high power components are designed for 230 to 690 V AC three-phase, delta connected circuits and offer a reactive power of between 5 kvar and 33 kvar.

The capacitors are polypropylene film, gas-impregnated, dry type, non-PCB. They come in four package types with a threaded stud at the bottom for mounting. The 440 V versions, as an example, come in values from 3 x 27 µf to 3 x 181 µf with a 6.6 to 43.4 A rating. All versions operate over -40° to 60°C.
