The 12 members of the AP21xx series USB high-side power switches target HDTV, set-top boxes, PCs, and consumer electronic devices. All devices are optimized for self-powered and bus-powered USB applications, and compliant with USB standards. They offer current limiting options of 0.75, 1.5 and 2.1 A, and a choice of active-high and active-low enable.
The power switches include an internal-sensing FET, and they monitor for overcurrent and overtemperature conditions. A 7-ms deglitch timeout prevents unwanted tripping when a high capacitive load is connected to the device output. Device operating ambient temperature range is –40° to 85°C.
