High-speed continuous-time sigma-delta ADC is industry’s first
Part consumes 30% less power than competitive devices
Offered as the industry’s first high-speed continuous-time sigma-delta (CTSD) A/D converter, the ADC12EU050 8-channel 12-bit 50-Msample/s ADC offers an alias-free sampling bandwidth of up to 25 MHz while consuming 350 mA30% less power than competing pipeline devices. This low-power breakthrough enables manufacturers to extend battery life and reduce heat in portable medical ultrasound and industrial imaging equipment.
The ADC provides an integrated low-pass brickwall anti-aliasing filter that blocks out-of-band signals from aliasing down in-band. Additional features include 68 dB of SINAD, a 70-dBFS SNR, an instant overload recovery circuitry, and LVDS/SLVS serialized outputs. The device is housed in a 68-pin LLP and operates over the −40° to 85°C temperature range. ($64 ea/1,000—samples available now, prod qty, 3rd qtr.)
