High-temp triacs offer motor control at 150°C

The 4-A T410H, the 6-A T610H, 8-A T810H, and 10-A T1010H triacs offer 10-mA gate sensitivity for operation up to 150°C without derating. They target heat sinks, as well as gate-drive power-supply and snubber circuits. The 10-mA gate current allows direct logic-level switching of the triac, saving component count and reducing the size and cost of the power supply. They also feature 75-V/µs noise immunity at up to 150°C.

The triacs help control ac loads including electric heaters, inductive heating equipment, medium-power motors, and other small appliances. They are rated up to 600 V for mains-powered systems and are available in an industry-standard TO-220AB through-hole package. (From $0.40 ea/10,000 — available now.)
