Highly flexible epoxy polysulfide

This compound has a remarkable flexibility and resists many chemicals such as water, gasoline, fuels, oils, hydrocarbons and hydraulic fluids.

Master Bond - Highly flex Epoxy Polysulfide

The EP21TPFL-1 is a two part, low viscosity epoxy polysulfide elastomer compound ideal for high performance bonding, sealing, coating, and casting. This compound has a remarkable flexibility and resists many chemicals such as water, gasoline, fuels, oils, hydrocarbons and hydraulic fluids. It has been formulated to cure readily at ambient and more quickly at elevated temperatures. This system has a non-critical mix ratio of one to two, by weight or volume.

This compound is 100% reactive and does not emit any solvents or volatiles during curing. EP21TPFL-1 has good physical strength and superior electrical insulation properties. This material is particularly noteworthy for its combination of flexibility and chemical resistance (mentioned above), which are often mutually exclusive. Its excellent flexibility permits this compound to be utilized in situations involving rigorous thermal cycling as well as thermal and mechanical shocks. It has very good adhesion to metals, ceramics, glass, and many rubbers and plastics.

The service temperature range is -60°F to +250°F. The color of Part A is clear while Part B is brown. Polysulfide based systems, including EP21TPFL-1, have been used as fuel tank sealants and as sealing compounds for electrical connectors exposed to fuels, oils and lubricants, for many years. EP21TPFL-1 can also be used in aerospace, electronic and other OEM applications.
